The Guarani Project is Going Logo!

Hey Guarani Fans and Supporters!

An update about The Guarai Project Documentary:

Bel and I had been trying to conceive of a logo to represent the Guarani Project both on paper, on the web, and in video/flash form.  Accordingly so, we put in a request to the most sough-after, highest paid, and overall illist graphic artist in the world to design the official Guarani Project Logo. We never heard back, obviously, so instead I decided to ask my friend Maggie to do it.

A Word about Maggie; Maggie and I have known each-other for a very long time (high-school days), and we each have a healthy pool of embarrassing stories about each-other that we try at all costs to keep secret.  She is finishing up her degree in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Washington and is a hellava good photographer as well.  I have slept many a time on her floor in D.C., par exampla when I was covering the Inauguration of Obama (thanks again, mags!)

So it started with a Facebook messege, followed up by a phone call; I flubbed some details over the phone, we discussed some universal terradiddles, followed by my usual battery of inside jokes…  Then, I waited.  Three days later, this is what she came up with, and then I remembered, “Ahha! This is why I’m still friends with Maggie!

We Now Officially  Present to you The Guarani Project Logo!

Note: We personally like the top logo, but we also want to hear everybody’s opinion, so feel free to comment on which one you like better, and we’ll take that information into account when making our final decision.

See more of Maggie Famiglietti’s work!  Seriously, it’s really good.

Cheers,

G.T.
