I came across the Guarani Aquifer about a year ago. I had become interested in water politics and in one of my online searches I stumbled upon a National Geographic article about it. The size, and potential, of the Aquifer as a global resource, and the potential for a bit of conspiracy, immediately captured by imagination.
As my research progressed I was amazed at how little information was actually out there about the Aquifer, and decided to remedy that. Adhering to the two heads are better than one theory, I wanted to collaborate on this project. Enter Vasilios.
This project has huge potential, and I’m sure it will have as many downs as ups. But, with your support, I am confident that we can produce something that justifies the importance of the subject-matter.

My involvement in this documentary started with a single phone call. The conversation had nothing to do with the Guarani aquifer. Two days later, a documentary friend of mine enthusiastically called me with a name and number and a few questionable remarks (thanks, Goordy!). That’s when I was made aware of Annabel.
After talking with her about the Guarani Aquifer and conducting my own research on the topic, I instantly came to the realization that this is not just another noteworthy issue. As a conflict documentarian, I am constantly seeking out underreported issues of global significance… The Guarani Aquifer certainly fits the bill. Along with Annabel, and of course your participation, I am looking forward to producing a documentary of critical importance.
